At Wren Academy Enfield we are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all members of the Wren Academy community. Staff members share in this responsibility to ensure students health and safety, taking reasonable action where appropriate.
As part of our Safeguarding Policy and in accordance with the DfE Keeping Children Safe in Education, if Wren Academy has reason to be concerned that a student may be subject to neglect, ill treatment or other forms of abuse, they will inform Children’s Social Care Services. Wren Academy will work with other agencies when there are concerns regarding the welfare of a child and will share relevant information if required. Discussions regarding a students welfare will be had with parents/carers in the first instance, unless we feel that in doing so will compromise the safety and welfare of a child.
If you have any concerns about the safety or welfare of a child, please contact Wren Academy immediately and clearly state that your call relates to a potential safeguarding matter. Alternatively you may email Wren Academy at studentservices@wrenacademyenfield.org, clearly marking this for the attention of the Designated Safeguarding Lead. Please do not include any specific details regarding your concern in this correspondence.
If your concerns are outside of the Academy day or during the holidays, please contact the police through 101. If a child is in imminent danger then please dial 999 for the Police.
